Hakim Finch currently serves as an Assistant Coach for Garfield High School baseball, Assistant Coach for the Washington Baseball Academy (WBA) 15U team, and since 1995, has been part of the Seattle Mariners RBI Summer Leagues with King County Boys & Girls Club as Head Coach, Assistant Coach, and Liaison.

Hakim has had many other baseball coaching roles including as Garfield's JV head coach in 2023 and 2024 and JVC head coach from 1996 to 2001. He also coached for Cleveland High School from 2016 to 2020, Tyee High School in SeaTac, WA from 2014 to 2016, and several select organizations over the years, including Baden and Northwest Prospect Academy.

Hakim is an active baseball player in adult men's ball leagues in the Seattle area including PSSBL and NABA and was a student athlete at Shoreline Community College and Concordia University.
